The tipi shines like big ice cream under the full moon in Pisces. Nine men and nine women are gathered while the Mexican Shaman sets up his altar and takes a deep look at an image of a weary Maria Magdelena.

Vomiting buckets are brought in. Location: Somewhere in the green hills in the North of Ibiza.

The few medicine plant novices present are getting nervous, not knowing what to expect. The shaman sets in a song from the jungle while the ground within is prepared to transform into a spaceship for a deep soul journey with an unknown destination.

It’s the first Ayahuasca ceremony in my life in my first week in Ibiza, back in 2010. This evening and this island are going to change my life.

Do you think you know Ibiza? Come again. That is, when you’ve ever left.

Here are some impressions from my time on the white aisle that prove that Ibiza might well be a prototype for humanity 2.0. A new-earth orbiting around values of equality and directly submerged from the holy trinity:

Catharsis — Communitas — Extasis.

Let’s start with extasis.
