Medium Possibly Red Flagged me and Why that’s a Good Sign
From Medium stardom to invisibility within one week
This is about the biggest elephant in the Medium room, Algorithms silencing voices on the best blogging platform in the world.
Writing on Medium has been a rollercoaster for me lately. Last week the platform mailed me a $500,- check saluting me as one of the thousand top writers that make the platform.
I can't be thankful enough.
Three days later, the algorithms (I guess) withdraw the earlier curation of all articles written in May on my Spirit of Crypto publication. This quite extreme measure happens just after an article losing thousands of eyeballs overnight.
It makes me sick in the stomach.
From being a hero writer in the spotlights cast into the dark crevices of the platform where nobody can find me. Within three days.
You might ask yourself why? Well, I do the same. I only can guess. I believe because I write about awakening. I don’t insult anybody, except some billionaires.
Medium is amazing. It's moulding me as a writer. It connects me to awesome readers and followers like you. I had to think twice to write this article at all, but the elephant in the room won't just disappear…
