For me, Covid clearly exposes a clash between 2 worldviews on health and healing.

I’ve personalized them. It’s the clash between the world view and mindset of competitive Joe and Holistic Judy. West meets East, Dr Fauci versus Dr Shiva.

In the right corner, competitive Joe embodies a rational medical view on our body that leads to linear symptom reduction. Seeing viruses or other invading bad natural actors as enemies. Isolation the problem and attacking & killing it with precision medicine bombing.

Kind of the war against the Taliban.

In the left corner, we have Holistic Judy. She looks at every aspect of life. She sees things as one big organic hole. She acknowledges the great power and healing in the connection with others, nature, the cosmos. She is a big fan of ‘Systemic Change’ and is allergic to the word separation.

She does, however, separate her plastic, paper and organic food.

I am aware that there lies a danger in opposing these worldviews, we live in a world that is polarized…
